Last December, I passed Grand Canyon in Colorado by helicopter, one for the seventh wonder of the world. I was not so impressed by the canyon except admiring the large surface area surround it. My theory was due to 2 factors, first sun and the position, I was now in the canyon itself and in Colorado I was from the top of the canyon. I do believe the sun factor plays important role here. The sun will enhance the colorful minerals that contains in the soil of those canyon/ rocks.

Here, the wind was also important factor for the form of the Argentinian canyon. Using your imagination a bit, we can name some places as devil’s throat, amphitheater, three crosses, Titanic, a nun, frog, castle, etc. But one thing, I couldn’t stop staring at the view and taking pictures.

The target of the journey was Cafavate for lunch, where I also visited the church and hunted for my thimble. Since it is also a wineries area, a wine tasting is a must. The oldest winery in Cayavate, Vasija Secreta offers a free one.

Going back with the same road and I played the best of Roxette while enjoying the movie of the canyon, which called Quebrada de las conchas (Gorge of the shells) and Lerma valley on route 68. That was my Cinco de Mayo celebration, the wonder of the Argentinian canyon.
