Another magical stop was Perast, a small waterfront village that feels like it belongs in a fairy tale. From here, I took a short boat ride to visit Our Lady of the Rocks, a church and museum built on an artificial island created over centuries by local fishermen dropping stones into the sea.

Back in Perast, I rewarded myself with a slice of the famous Perast almond cake — a local delicacy worth trying if you’re there!
