After about 24 hours traveling from when I left home and got into my hotel in Santiago de Chile... I’m back on my feet on the ground, literally and it was a worthwhile traveling!
Although with a bit of delay for my flight from Amsterdam but we more less arrived on time in Santiago with stop over in Buenos Aires. This is a night flight, so I could sleep through and watched 2 movies: Star is born and Bernie. We saw Buenos Aires by night and Andes mountain range from the window.
I was lucky I could check in to my room at Presidente hotel Santiago. So I changed to a lighter clothes then I walked on Avenida Providencia toward the highest tower in South America, Sky Costanera. I bought bubble tea on the way (I am crazy of this bubble tea) and found by coincidence the HRC Santiago in the Sky Costanera mall. It is 5 floors of shops, restaurants, etc. Then I went up to the tower, 300 m tall, 61 floors.
I was speechless when I got up there… I could see this crowded city of Santiago, with Andes at the background, financial district, San Christobal hill, it felt so open and like on top of the world. It is a city about 5 million people. I stayed quite long there and still felt like It was not long enough.
The next stop was Bicentenario park. It’s a new park with nice green grass, umbrellas and lazy chairs. Many modern sculptures, statues and also a special playing place for everyone, adults, children, even dogs. Then the bird pond, they have flamingos, black bird when they fly there was yellow feather and small duck with very green beak. From this park I could see the skyline of the financial district where Sky Costanera is.

That was a perfect start of your sabbatical!
