Today, May 2nd, 2019 is a traveling day: from Puerto Varas to San Carlos de Bariloche, then directly flying to Buenos Aires at 21.00. There are several ways to go to Bariloche from Puerto Varas:

1. The shortest one is via 2 lakes, lago todos los santos & lago nahuel huapi. This will take about 10 hours, which would be nice in the summer time, I guess, not now during the autumn.

2. Or the shortest time is by road (about 6 hrs), via cities along lago Llanquihue: Llanquihue, Frutillar, Puerto Octay then crossing to Entre Lagos, passing National park Puyehue to Langostura (the border and immigration) then Bariloche.

Then it was clear, I would go by road and then I will go around a bit in Bariloche before flying to Buenos Aires (BA). But due to the bad weather the day before, rain and storm, the direct road to Bariloche was closed because of landslide. Ofcourse there is many ways to Rome, so to Bariloche as well, via the lakes Andes mountain range. It would be a beautiful road, but it would take about 10-11 hrs. Ok, no problem, I would sit in the car longer but I would enjoy the view. I thought that and It happened… I was sitting in the car for almost 12 hrs today, left the hotel in Puerto Varas at 8 AM and arrived at the airport in Bariloche at 7.50 PM, about 35 minutes before boarding time. Perfect timing!

And I had a great day, enjoyed the view!

We passed these cities in Chile: Loncoche, Villarica, Pucon, Curarrehue, crossing the border to Argentina in National park Villarica then passing these cities in Argentina: Junin de los Andes, San Martin de los Andes, Villa de Angostura, National park Nahuel Huapi to the airport in San Carlos de Bariloche.

Although the weather was not so sunny, sometimes event raining but the view is still stunning… I didn’t feel tired at all when arriving at the airport but still felt blessed for the beautiful view and day that I had. Then flying to BA, checked in the hotel, got a wrong room number, #804 had a guy was sleeping and didn’t want to be disturbed. Apparently I should have #904. I felt pity for that guy, Que paso?, he was screaming... I couldn’t hold my laugh either. It was a nice laugh to end such a long day! :-)
