Today, May 8th, 2019 is my traveling day from Salta to Puerto Iguazu, yes my next stop is the famous Iguazu waterfall!
But I still had about half day in Salta to spend, it was raining in the morning tough... I went to see the church around the corner, took picture then went inside to pray. It was still raining but I decided to walk to the main square, I would like to see the museum of archeology and I did.
It is a museum about what they found in this area about Inca. Inca people made a long journey and they did human (children) sacrifice. They dressed these children then gave them chicha (sort of alcohol from corn), before burying them. Burying them made the body of these children sort of mummified. It was impressive to see the mummy, although I was a bit shivering in the museum. Feeling pity for these children but at the other side, I’m also looking forward to learn more about Inca later on during my trip to Peru, in Cusco.
After the museum, I was just going around to see the handicraft center and walked towards the teleferico San Bernardino. I saw a traditional empanaderia, so I bought 2 with cheese, onion and potatoes. They made it freshly, on the traditional oven. I was planning to take them up the hill and having a little picnic there. Then I reached the teleferico, got my ticket and I also asked the lady to turn on the sun also. She was laughing but in fact there was sun when I was on top of the hill.
I always enjoy the view from the top, as you can see far and the surrounding of the city. Salta is a city about 620000 people and the city was built by blocks and you can see clearly from the hill. Then I went down and decided to walk back to the hotel via another street, passing San Martin park where the Salta sign on the pond is located. That was a busy street where many activities happening: school, market, big bus stops, street sellers, etc. It was like a Pasar Baru area in Bandung city. It was fun to discover this part of the city. I reached the hotel just some minutes before 13, I did repacking, freshened up, made coca tea for myself before my pick up came.
In about 20 mnt, I arrived at the airport. The bag was checked in already but I couldn’t pass the security control, only 1 hour before. The flight went smoothly... without noticed it, I was in to the hotel in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina) and tried to find dinner. I went to Jasy, as recommended by the hotel and it was also closer than going to the city center which is 5 blocks away. I ate something local, river fish and salad. It was good but I don’t used to eat dinner so I felt a bit blown up.

Dear Alfi, It is good to see you enjoying the world. I have the feeling that our time is going faster than yours but maybe it depends on the level of enjoyment ;-).
